Elvie Pump is a wearable electric breast pump designed to discreetly slip inside your bra. First the ultra-quiet breast pump it allow the user to confidently collect breast milk where other mother pumpers dare not go. The pump can be controlled through user's phone for the most seamless experience. It is wire-free, hands-free, and hassle-free.

I joined Elvie as a contractor in order to support the full development of the first medical grade Elvie electric-breastpump. I was actively involved with developing validation Rigs taking into consideration: overall shape, user interface, technology, tooling requirement and assembly process from early concept to manufacturing transfer until production validation.

  • - Creation of functional Rigs to asses basic technology feasibility.

    - Creation of prototypes to validate user experience.

    - Worked with industrial designers to find compromised between overall shape and technology integration.

    - Creation of development Rigs combining technology, overall shape, user interface.

    - Creation of development Rigs combining the above and assembly process.

    - Creation of development Rigs considering the above and tooling requirement.

    - Worked with electronic team to integrate PCBA / Battery shape into the design.

    - Creation of Rigs for user trials in collaboration with the Research Team.

    - Reviewed and integration feedback from user trials at each development Rigs.

    - Working with suppliers through DFM for tooling approval.
